Are there issues with Developer Preview updates and Nokia Software Recovery Tool 5.0?

Alrighty... Am sure at least a few of you out there remember me, for the others well hi.
Firstly, I've been busy the last month, so if anyone could summarize the important highlights for this month, like an ICYMI for the month of Nov, that'd be great.
Next, issue is that I'd like to know if there are any problems with the developer preview updates today, cause when I checked for software updates, its been showing "checking for updates" for the past 45 mins also Lumia Software Recovery Tool 5.0.0 keeps showing an error - "Could not check application update".
Any help regarding the above mentioned issues would be greatly appreciated.

Your thread was probably missed out something.

Asking for an recap of the entire month is a tall order and I would just skim the articles quickly.

No major DP issues that I am aware of currently.

Thats the thing... its pretty hard to skim through articles for a month on a phone...plus my network sucks atm, hence the request.
