Anyone seen any Arrive cases or screen shields for sale? My Arrive is on pre-order from amazon, and would like to grab these before i start using the phone and drop it getting out of the car! (i know it will happen =p)

I'm looking for a 2 piece hardshell snap-on case and form fitting screen shields. I saw the Skinomi screen shields on amazon for the arrive, but I've read some negative reviews on them....plus the whole waiting 24 hours before using after applying them sux.

Also see a bodyglove snap-on case on amazon, but no picture.

My local Sprint store had a bunch on display with the phone. Granted they were overpriced but you can expect that at launch.

I bought the leather case for the Evo shift. It fits perfectly since the phones are almost the exact same size. And it was only 25 at the sprint store.
They didn't seem to have screen protectors yet, though.

I picked up my Arrive on Friday and already have a scratch on the screen! >(
I don't know what did it, something between last night and this morning. I've not done anything that I haven't done with my ZuneHD or the Epic 4G that I replaced. Neither of those has any screen damage.
Thanks for the link to the screen cover Diddy, I just placed my order. The scratch is minor so I'm not going to waste the TEP deductible on getting it fixed, I'll have to just deal with it irritating me everytime I look at it.

Just make sure you are careful on the install. Skinomi skins are great but they require alot of patience both on the install and after the install. The phone can't be used for about 12 hours afterwards and can take up to a week to completely work out the bubbles. After that they are flawless.

Went to the Sprint Store, tried the OEM HTC Shift case. Fits like a glove. Couldnt be happier.

Agreed and Skinomi is the way to go over any company. If you mess up you can un peel it fairly easily and re apply.

The link has gone dead. Can you specify - is it the "leather pouch" or the Body Glove pouch? I assume this is just for carrying, and that you have to remove the phone to use it...?

Thanks!

I have the body glove snap on hard plastic case for my arrive. The bottom half fits on perfect nice and snug, covers it well... The top (screen side) leaves something to be desired... The corners fit snug... But the edges are loose and feel as if snagged hard enough it could snap... I may try another case here soon... ( and if your wondering yes I did get the wood grain.. But I made sure I got the darkest one possible.. Now I can crack jokes about how my phone smells of rich mahogany :) )

I am looking for feed back on any screen protectors... Would like one with a privacy tint to it.. ( girl at sprint store had it.. Didn't ask where she got it though )

Finally ended up getting one of these Invisible Protection for Your Device | Clear Protector (search htc arrive)

Works like a charm! the front and rear protection are barely noticeable and make the phone easier to handle (less slippery). The edges seemed extremely difficult to place properly, in fact I wasn't sure they would stay on (wondered what I was doing wrong), but after the device dried completely - it just works. pretty happy overall. the only thing that would be better imo would be something equivalent of a second skin that truly covered the whole device, but absent that this works great!

BTW, I went with clear protection because I think the Arrive is a beautiful phone and although I want it protected, I didn't want to hide it. :D

Here's the new Body Glove case....decent case, good grippy feel and fits nicely. Power button is less accessible is the only downside.

Best Case EVER

So I had an Arrive and broke the screen, it shattered into a million pieces. Anyways I got a new Arrive through sprint and the protection plan but this time I made sure not to have the same mistake happen again. I just received the case that I ordered off of eBay and wow am I SOOOO impressed with this very inexpensive case. It was only $5.50 or very close to it. It is a two piece snap on hard case with the rubber feel to it, and it really does feel like rubber. I thought it was going to be crappy becasue of how low the price was but man this fits to the phone perfect no problems at all and feels amazing. If your interested just type in HTC Arrive case on ebay and multiple will come up. Make sure it says rubber feel hard case though. They also come in different colors blue, red, white, but I picked black and I am really impressed with this thing. Also I saved alot compared to the sprint store or any where else.

I got the same type red rubber feel case and it does feel and fit pretty good. Still not super happy with the screen side though, may try an invis Shield style full phone covering.

I had an invisa shield on my pre and on my old Arrive (which broke), they are nice and keep the phone in its sleek form but they add very very very little protection. Take my word for it the invisa shield will protect from scratches but does nothing to protect from drops of any type. Were as one of the cases that we talked about would help with drops. Also the invisa sheild will protect from scratches but the skin its self will still show scratches. In the adds it says that the protective skin itself wont scratch/mark but it does.

Those clear skin shields usually have a "free" lifetime replacement deal (you just pay shipping). The customer service seems good enough, too. When I first got one for my TP2, I had a discount price, but I ordered it for the generic TP2 instead of the Verizon-specific one because it hadn't come out yet. A few days later, it came out, so I asked and they allowed me to return and get the other one at the discounted price again. That one is still on it and it has more than likely done its job. It doesn't have any scratches despite me dropping it a lot (a few times in rough parking lots), but it does have a weird, inexplicable burn mark. I ordered a replacement since I'm going to try to sell the phone and it was just $3.99 standard shipping.

For my Arrive, I decided to try the Skinomi this time to see if people are just hating on Zagg or if it is significantly better (+1 for it since it was already cheaper on Amazon ($18.95 + free shipping)).

I like the phone design, which is why I chose the clear skins (I probably would've gone with a clear plastic hard case if anyone made one, but no one did). Another reason I chose the skin is because it allows the phones to still fit in cases that they would fit in without the skins. Cases add bulk to the phones and, while some of them have belt clip options, I'd be worried of those breaking if/when I drop the phone.

For Skinomi, is it a single piece for the back? How do you access the battery? Do you just have to re-apply the skin if you need to take the battery out?

While the Skinomi can be nice for providing full body scratch protection they leave the screen feeling plasticky/rubbery and less glass like. For those who only need a screen cover I found these fit perfectly and stay truer to the original feel:
