ASPHALT 8 on 1 GB RAM, low specs PC

I downloaded asphalt 8 from windows store. It mentions minimum requirement of 2 GB RAM.

My desktop PC has 1GB RAM Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 @ 2.4 GHz (Display adapter Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.0)) purchased in 2009. (I don't wish to dump it since it is running fine without any problems)

I didn't notice any significant graphic flaw, quality appears to be same as my lumia 520, no lag.

When I run task manager in between, it shows only 250 MB RAM usage by asphalt 8.

Is it safe to run asphalt on my PC? or is it going to cause damage to hardware? Its too hot in India these days...can it result in thermal shutdown?

Aside from recommending an upgrade in RAM (which is rather simple and should be cheap) you should be fine with the computer so long as it has appropriate cooling and you keep it dust free.

I lived in Australia in hot conditions and never hand any issues.

Any computer when it gets hot will shutdown prior to causing damage. It's part of the BIOS settings. The CPU fan should be attached to the mainboard and that controls the speed to keep temperature in check. There's usually a max temp prior to shutdown.

If your case doesn't have a fan I'd recommend one for that if it has space. You haven't indicated if it's home built or namebrand.

It has fan, it isnt homebuilt.. Its HCL, leading pc manufacturer here

It wont affect till you dont use too much ram.
I have 2gb ram and it hardly uses 250mb the biggest culprit in my pc is chrome it uses around 500mb of ram so dont ever run chrome and asphalt 8 side by side or your pc might become unresponsive
As suggested by n_larue upgrade ram 1gb stick will cost you ₹800 2gb will cost ₹2200
