Forgot to mention the price points that have been reported (and instagrammed by ASUS): $299 for 34GB and $349 for 64GB.

I've been wanting a full w8 tab in that price point with a quality active digitizer for quite some time! I use SuperNote on my OG ASUS TF101, but it's just not the same as OneNote. Plus a 10" tab can be a pain when I'm moving from meeting to meeting up at corporate. So, I'm really liking the smaller form factor with the WACOM integrated!

I want one. I prefer 10" tablets. But I like the idea of the 8" tablet for carrying in my purse every day.

I'm on my second 10" tab and I have a super cheap 7" chinese android tab. I really like the size and portability of the 7" but the hardware was so jankity that the tab wasn't very useable. Anyways, 8" is going to be a great form factor for on the go. I use my ASUS T100 for work and play and it's a decent size for most things, but I use MS OneNote a lot to take notes during meetings and to keep my current task list up-to-date. It's a little too bulky for those types of quick reference uses. That's where I think that the 8" is better.

I read that ASUS Customer service was horrible but Isn't that true for all customer service.

I think that they've really tried to change that image. They even have active support staff on this site now. Personally, having owned several ASUS laptops and now two ASUS tablets, I have yet to have an issue with a device that required me to reach out to customer service. I like their build quality and they almost always surpass my expectations for the price range I'm purchasing in. The T100 is a perfect example. It's a beast of a device for only $300-400, and there's not much more I could have wanted on it.

Wonder what happened. I almost pre-ordered this tablet. I did actually and then when they said that it would be a while I cancelled my order and asked to be notified when they know a for sure ETA. Hadn't heard back from them and today went to the order page and found this posted. "This product is not available and cannot be purchased. It has been discontinued by the manufacturer or vendor."

They probably screwed up on the website getting the presale pages online. More than likely the page was made live when it wasn't supposed to be yet.

Sorry to hear that man! My ASUS TF101 is still going strong after 3 years, and the T100 just gets better and better the more I use it.
