Attaching pictures to email

I just realized this, but whenever I attach a picture to an email, it downsizes it. Is there anyway to attach the original size picture to an email?

Try to send it from the files app. I'm not sure if that will work but you should try.

It didn't work. Once you select a picture, it puts you back into the picture program.
