Audio and 2g/3g network on Lumia 625

Hi Guys,

I got this phone yesterday, am not understanding about two things

1. When my phone is in 3G mode and when i lock the screen, its appearing as offline in GChat and when i unlock the screen its appearing as online and am getting offline message from Gchat friends? And there is a delay in response when I am chatting with Gchat app? Is this issue with all Lumia phones or only with 625? How to get rid it of this? any settings please? Even if i lock the screen my status should be shown as online/Visible and Facebook also not getting updated properly and refreshing tiles as well?

2. Audio of this phone is very very poor and low quality, can we install any app for this to get good audio systems in good quality and high volume?

Dint expected such cheap quality from Nokia :unhappysweat:. Really feeling bad and its blunder mistake made to go with Windows phone.:unhappy:

It's sad that your unhappy with your new phone... I don't know about 1, but unfortunately I have to tell you that for 2 you are stuck with what you have, there are no apps for that... :unhappy:

Is there any wayn to change data connection to 3G only as in android?

^^ dial ##3282# and see if it brings up the field test mode (disabled on some ROMs). If yes then click settings and set Network type to 3G.

yes u can set the nework type to 2G or 3G i have set mine to 2G as the network is better in my country on 2G u will get a dorpdown box to set it to 2G or 3G

"Think about a situation where you have very strong 2G signal and very poor 3G signal. In such case your phone will choose 2G network.
But by experience you know that poor 3G signals could give you much faster connectivity that very strong 2G signals. In such a case it would be really great if you could stay on 3G network regardless of poor signal.” – from Silicon Station
..my friends have android and it has options to set 3g only, 2g only, 3g preferred/2g.. and in weak 3g areas they are accesible to 3g but i'm not..

i can see that ur 3G is highlighted so ur phone is on 3G now just touch the 2G and it will get highlighted and u will be on 2G it works for me so it should for you too

The network bands supported by your phone may be different from the network bands supported by your carrier. Especially for LTE.
