Audio at full volume issue

I was wondering if anyone had an issue when the volume is at 100% it sounds a little distorted when watching Netflix or listening to music. Almost like the speakers cant handle the volume, but only when people are talking or high notes in music. The issue resolves it self when I set the volume to around 75-80%. I've had the Surface 2 now for 4 days and love it. But this is bugging me.

Anyone experience audio crackling when at full volume? It only happens with voices and high notes in music, but not all music or all voices just certain voices and certain music if that makes sense. It almost sounds like the speakers cant handle the volume. I've tried different apps with the same results.

Mine hasn't crackled. Switch it out.

I have a launch day Surface 2. Had this issue since day one. Any Eminem song is the worst sounding...if you disable audio enhancements the volume is lower but it doesn't crackle. Its a design flaw in my option.

I noticed it when watching Archer on Netflix, or listening to Calvin Harris Summer on Vevo. It's the speakers I don't think they can handle the volume. It goes away when I have it set at 70-80 or turn off the audio enhancements, but like Jon4248 stated you loose a lot of volume by doing that.

I remember early on when I first got mine it did that. I'd suggest making sure you do all the updates on the device and then test it out!

Are systems really designed to run at full volume with every application? Some applications, videos, and songs may be louder than others and therefore sound distorted because the speakers can't handle it. I thought it was common sense to not run at 100% volume on any device, unless you want to blow the speakers.

I half agree.
But the reason some of us raise the volume too 100 is due to the terribly low volume that the device lets out.
