Auto Forward SMS to Another Phone?

I am curious to know if there are any apps out there (yet) that can auto forward a SMS message to another number? Just like you can forward your phone number to another number, I am looking to do this for text messages. I have a work phone and a personal phone and there are times when I don't want to carry both so I just forward the phone number to the other phone and I would like to do the same for SMS.

Nobody has any apps or any ideas on how to do this? This isn't a long term deal but just during the weekend or some nights when I just don't want to carry 2 phones.

Its in Android since many years ago. I hate to wait for this and that features to finally come to wp8. Feel like living in stone age while other platforms enjoy all kinds of features

I agree. There are so many apps the other operating systems have and WP8 is just waiting. I really like WP8, part because it is so different than the other 2 but we need some (what I think) basic apps to make the switch.

Yes. I had an app for this on my old blackberry and I'd really like to have one on my new WP8.

Has there been any new apps created yet to do this? Jailbroken iPhone does, Android does but what about WP8?

All other OSs do them but no Windows Phone doesn't have an app for this and probably won't for a long time - these are sandboxed areas of the OS and aren't shared with any app developer to keep user privacy and malware threats to the minimal. Maybe in future when these APIs are open for other developers with other security measures in place, you will see it. For another 12 months or so, highly unlikely. If this feature is very important for anyone, they should look into other OSs of choice during this time frame.

Haven't seen anything, you could always port your number to google voice and have SMS push sent that way, but that is extreme and not relying on the windows phone os

In addition to allowing for forwarding, opening up the SMS sandbox would also allow for apps like MightyText (currently in Android) that allow you to send and receive SMS messages on your desktop, laptop, or tablet computer. Does anybody know if Apple allows for these things? The last I checked, only Android allows developers to touch the SMS system.
