I saw this morning that BB had the Arrive listed on their site. Looking into local store inventory I saw that it was available in 1 of the stores near me. Their website lists the device at the full $599 price. Would they not have New/Upgrade deals like Wirefly/Amazon/RS to get it for $149... or even $199 w/out tha MIR?

Normally they would, unfortunately for some reason there is no contract pricing in the system for the Arrive.
There is currently no way to get it on contract through BB, I've got my mobile manager looking into it but as of right now he has no idea when that will happen. Could be tomorrow, could be next week.
Best way to know is to check the website for when it shows contract pricing.

Obviously there are other avenues for getting the Arrive, personally I'm going to wait until it's sorted out because 1) I hate mail-in rebates, and more importantly 2) Sprint's TEP can't compete with the employee pricing on the GSBTP.

Ive bought my last two preimier upgrades from BB. Luve getting the price now instead of waiting for a MIR. I did have to go back to the Sprint store across the street because BB was out of Pre Cases. Of course I got bombarded by the sprint people... "Why didnt you get it here". Duh... I got burned on a MIR rebate with my Instinct upgrade back in 08-09 when it launched and will never do it again.

I just came from a best buy in allston ma. They did not have it in stock, and claimed no other best buy within 50 miles had it in stock either :-(. I was hoping to get them to price-match the $49 price.

Guy told me at my local Best Buy that only the website would be carrying it. But of course he could be wrong...

you have to check their website and choose store pickup. Only the 1 store in a 30 mile radius had list is was available in the store.

Call in, that's what I did. They'll look if it's in the system. They sent me to a store and initially that store said they didn't have it, but after prodding they looked and it was right there with the rest of the sprint phones.

For some reason, they told me that it wasn't released yet, but I said I called in and that it was already released. They checked the system and noticed that it was released, but that it also was pulled from the system with a potential recall. They sold it to me anyways stating that they can scan it and would work regardless. They also said that it may just be that because they didn't have their display unit out yet so it wasn't on the system to be sold yet.

But your best bet is to call the Best Buy and ask specifically for the HTC Arrive, nothing more. If you say windows phone it'll just confuse them. Say Arrive over and over and they'll just punch it into the system and see which store has them in stock.
