Background task does not get disabled.

Guys, when we disable the Background tasks from the Settings screen, does it actually disable it?

For .e.g I have blocked whatsapp numerous times, but I still continue to receive whatsapp messages. Also, I have unchecked the checkbox which enables the background task on opening the app. Any suggestions?:eck:

Whatsapp uses notification function. Disable WhatsApp notification from the app itself
