Band 2 mod ideas

So, as my second replacement is on the way back in the mail, I'm having some thoughts as to what to do if this one splits. Supposedly the most recent ones are made from a stiffer material, and while I am HOPING that is correct, I also am the type for preparation...

So...

I'm thinking of modding the next one if it splits, and trying to create a new watchband for it. Knowing that there is wiring and parts inside the watchband, this is not going to be easy, so I want to prepare myself.

I've been trying to find a teardown, preferably a teardown that doesn't damage the components other than the watchband itself, but I'm having trouble finding a good one. One of the ones I keep running into pries apart the section that detects whether you're wearing the device and beats it up terribly. Does anyone have a good disassembly guide, or know of where to find one?

Yeah, that's the one I kept finding. It looks like they pried it open with a knife! D:

well to get the screen off like the band 1 you nee to heat it up till the glue is pryable then there are screws. the ifixit just tore into it and thought there were rivets but they were wrong there was screws if you heated the screen and carefully got it up.
