Battery banks don't work?

Not that I use them all that often, but I tried using my sister's battery bank for my Lumia 950xl and it didn't even recognize my phone. It happened to me once before with my brother's battery bank as well. Is the 950xl simply unable to get an extra charge from accessories like this?

That's why Lumia devices worked better with the genuine chargers whether it MS, Nokia, Motorola or Samsung (or other companies).

I love my Microsoft DC-33, it has a capacity of 9000mah with dual usb ports. More info 🛈 https://forums.windowscentral.com/e...e%2Faccessory%2Fdc-32-33-34%2F&token=YM1TDLjJ. You can also go with the Nokia power banks DC-21 if you can find them. I had a 6000mah one that worked good and charged quick .

I believe it's to do with the amperage of the battery bank. Lumia 950XL's charger outputs 3A (amps) but your battery bank may have a cap limit of 1.5-2A to protect its wiring from exceeding its capacity.

In general most phones would still accept the battery bank even if its below the max output but why the Lumia would refuse to charge even slowly is beyond me. Must be a cut-off feature in the battery bank itself.

Yes, I had many issues with power banks when using my 950. I did find a recent Anker pack that works marvelously but I don’t use my 950 anymore
