battery life? and features?

i currently have the curve for sprint and i used to have the mogul 6800. i miss a lot of the features but it was very slow when i had it. i am now interested in the touch pro, i played with it a little at the store and i liked it. but i heard the battery life was not very good at all. is there a certain type of battery that i could buy for it that would last longer and how does it compare to the old 6800?
