battery life and turbo boost

I don't have surface pro, but can anyone testing to turn turbo boost off to see if battery life get additional hrs on it. Thanks
there is an option to disable it in bios. If it is not there you could try this

Bump because I just tried this after spending 10 minutes looking for this thread. Anyone else want to take a crack at this too?

I don't think this will work for the fact that I've tried several times to lower my Max CPU while on battery to like 75% but no matter what I do, it always gets reset to 100%. I've even tried creating custom power profiles but they get reset too.

I think this *could* work if the settings would stick.

I don't have any problems changing my processor performance settings and the only situation I've read about where the changes reset is if Hyper-V is enabled. If you don't have that enabled then its possible some other software is preventing the settings being applied. Or it could be a corrupt OS install.
