So, ive updated to windows 10, generally I like it.

Straight from update the bluetooth controls in my car didn't work along with metadata track names. It took literally a whole day to update all the apps and then ran very slugishly.

I did a hard reset and began again from scratch, I've now got the screen flicker issue and Edge is still pants, takes forever to load anything.

My biggest problem is the battery and background app management. The camera has just used 15% of my battery to take 2 photos. Edge has used 45% for about 15 minutes of browsing, I've already disabled facebook and edge in background for crimes of up to 70%.

Before the update, using my phone about average, I got about 26 hours of use. Yesterday I had to charge from 10-15% three times in 18 hours and that is trying to close every app, webpage, tab after use and trying to avoid using my phone. Given that I have a job that involves moving around a hospital, the update has rendered my phone just about useless.

The first thing I would suggest is to remove the SD card for a day and see if that fixes some of the issues. I discovered that my 830 as having issues with the SD card from 8.1 and had to back it up and re-set it up from 10 in order for it to work. There's some background processes that got stuck in 10 trying to scan the SD card and that's why it'd eat so much battery. The background processes don't count towards Battery Saver's tally, so whatever app you were using while those processes were running is the one blamed.

Try signing out your skype integration from the messaging app. It is known to be a culprit for eating up battery.
