Battery percentage upon a SOFT reset

I wanted to fix my battery draining quick so I performed a hard reset and thought it would work. It worked somewhat but decided to do a SOFT reset a couple of times while comparing it to the percentage of the battery. Mine went down everytime I did a soft reset. EVERYTIME. The most the decrease was a 16% drop from 50% to 34%. Anyone else try this and see the difference?

I did a soft reset just this morning, and my battery reading actually increased from 86% to 95%.
