Some people want a specific colour so they can see it when they drop it or it matches other devices they may plug it into where the outside of the card is visible. And people who've lost GB's of family photos when a card has got wet might want one that's waterproof.

I bought that exact card a few days ago. I got it home and installed it and my phone would boot up in airplane mode everytime. I would remove the card and the phone would boot up fine. I bought it from Frys so i took it back and exchanged it for the exact card. Installed it and all is fine. I obviously was lucky enogh to get a bad card. The new card has been working great.
