I'm a photographer whose basic uses would be with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Bridge, and often dealing with bulk images on Camera Raw. Up till now I was using Macbook pro i7, 2.9 ghz, 8GB ram. Its' only now, after 3.5 years of use, that its' started to slow down for me. As a replacement would the i7, 8GB surface laptop variant be a good enough substitute? Keep in mind that I'm dealing with far bigger RAW files than I used to 3.5 years ago!
Thanks

In that case (large raw files) you might want to go up to 16g of Ram. I have an i7 as well but it's a desktop with two monitors.

Make sure to use a fast SSD in that Macbook... mechanical HDD's no longer cut it for larger RAW files, even worst if those are more than 30MB each, it will take ages to just open the file. I just use my desktop PC to serious RAW editing, since M.2 for SSD's are even much faster than regular SSD SATA interface.
