I too have this question.
The main complaint I hear is that the batteries are as old as the 920 so they will not provide much extra power.

Is there a valued source that people trust for 920 batteries?

Search youtube. It's really easy. Simply three little screws, maybe a 10 min job.

Age does as well. The optimum charge for storing a battery is 40% charge. 100% will cause faster deterioration.

An heat is a killer for them, especially charging them when warm, like wireless
Lithium's age well if stored with only 40% ~ 50% charge.

Fwiw, I purchased a new 920 battery, installed it without a problem (YouTube vid). The manufacturing date was around the same age as the phone. No noticeable difference in battery life. It did feel good to be able to replace the battery myself, but again no noticeable difference in life.
