All I tested was scanning a regular barcode. DVD scanning and other forms are just not needed. First, If you can see the title, just tell Cortana to find said name. Also, who uses disks anymore? This is the 21st century, it's all about downloads!!Can you still scan barcodes or look up book/cd/dvd covers? I can only scan QR codes or text but nothing else... Doesn't seem to have Microsoft Tag support anymore either.

The reason this got brought up is because of the Amazon Fire Phone's ability. My family being mainly WP users, were like "oh we've had similar functionality for a long time" *whip out phone to demo* *terribly embarrassed at the fact we can't even scan barcodes anymore* The real usefulness is when you're out shopping and you want to compare the price to other stores really quick. All I tested was scanning a regular barcode.
