I just got a new Surface Pro and am having a strange issue. I get a black screen when I sign out if I am connected to an external monitor. This happens both when using a Surface Dock and with the monitor plugged into the Display Port on the Surface.
I have the i7 with 16GB RAM and 512 GB SSD, and am running the Fall Creator's Update. I upgraded from a similar Surface Pro 4 (only had 256 GB SSD) that was also running the Fall Creator's Update that did not have this issue. I've also tested a co-worker's Surface Book (i7, dGPU) running the Fall Update and there is no issue there.
I'm suspecting it has something to do with the graphics drivers, and am looking into it further, but am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem.
