The Mrs updated her phone this morning. I'm not 100% sure which version she was updating to... She has preview for developers installed, but I think she updated to the one previous to the recent update. The phone is a Lumia 520.
The update was a success and the phone worked correctly afterwards. However about 4 hours later a problem has occurred. The screen is now totally black apart from the icons at the very top. The capacitive buttons still work, I can still call the phone and the screen works correctly when I do, so she can still answer calls. The lock screen is also working, so she can unlock the phone, but as soon as she does, the screen goes black.
I've hooked it up to the windows phone app, but it just says "your phone is having problems" and is unable to communicate with it. I've tried a soft reset, but the problem persists. It seems like a software problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions, or is the phone now essentially broken??
