You mentioned on the Xbox Two Podcast (#287 @47mins in) that Blizzcon is put on for the fans, and it's not to make money. It really is sad that they are not interested in putting on a show for their fans this year. Regardless of whether or not they are doing these other "events". Even if it was not a forced cancellation by Microsoft it still lines up with being cancelled, for the first time, the first year owned by Microsoft.
