Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) - AT&T Lumia 950

I was at dinner tonight and my phone was just sitting on the table and out of nowhere rebooted to a blue screen with a frown face. I have no idea how to fix this. A soft reset didn't help and the Windows Device Recovery Tool doesn't notice the phone. Anyone else have this issue?

Holding down power and volume down for 15 sec? Or let it discharge.

My Lumia 950 dual sim just BSOD after lunch. Took to the emergency MS care center for recovery. I pray it survive thru the night. Such as young life. :unhappysweat:

Just take out the battery and restart.

Haven't seen any crashes on latest firmware and OS.

Before I got my refurbished replacement 950 from AT&T mine did this:



I had to take it to my local Microsoft Store. They hooked it up to the device recovery thing and, after many false starts and resets, were finally able to get it working again, though it took more than an hour. They'd never seen this before nor were they certain how to correct it, but they managed to make things right!

I just completed this process on the 950 that I am currently using. It is a bit of PITA, and took a little time, but it was recoverable.

Although my AT&T branded L-950: OS: 10.0.10586.107 (obtained through Preview Release Ring) and still stock firmware: 01078.00017.15454.290xx fortunately has NOT experienced any of these troubling blue screens, it would be nice to have your 'How to' link will PM you and thanks.
