Hello, I just wanted to check in to see if people are still having Bluetooth connectivity issues with their car stereos?

Here are my issues:

-When playing a song, it skips to no end. I try to remedy it by hitting pause then play or doing my Stop Music app or turning BT off then on again. Still skips.
-If the song plays without skipping it?ll play 1 song and not advance to the next song. It just stops. The phone displays the new track but doesn?t play it. I do everything above to try and get it to play and it just doesn?t.

Here is my situation:

-I?m driving a 2013 Subaru Impreza, from the manual it looks as though it?s BT 4.0. I just have what's called BlueConnect.

-I am attempting to play music that is saved on my phone. I am NOT streaming music from the Xbox Cloud or streaming from any other music apps. I turned off the cloud sync to see if this helped, it did not. I only have 2 albums saved to my phone and 21 gb of free space.

-I have had issues when streaming from music apps with the app playing 1 song and not advancing to the next despite showing all the info for the new song.

Here?s what I?ve done:

-My Nokia Lumia 928 is my second one, Verizon replaced my original due to other issues and including this BT issue. Before they replaced it the woman told me there is a known issue with the BT and the SIM Card, I don?t know what the ?issue? is but they replaced my SIM Card for me on the spot when they re-ordered me another 928. I am using the new SIM in my current 928.

-My boyfriend, who has an S3 on T-Mobile has had some connectivity issues with the BT in my car but just to the extent that it takes him a few tries to connect. Once he?s connected there are no issues with playback or songs playing all the way through, he even streams through Spotify.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there some kind of workaround? I?ve reverted to using the AUX with a cable but I really want to be able to use the hands-free features and BT won?t connect when AUX is being used. Since this is my 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] 928 and I had the same issues with the BT with my original one I believe the issue is with the phone and not the car.

You may want to see if there is a firmware update for your stereo. I have an aftermarket stereo in my car that wasn't playing well with my 928 and after digging around i found that it had a firmware update that included some issues for BT. Once I did that zero issues between my phone and stereo....it's worth a check
