Boot... spinner... blank screen

Anyone else now have what amounts to a dead Surface Pro (gen 1)?

I boot, see the spinner, and a few seconds later the screen goes black and is unresponsive (still on, but all black image).

I tried leaving it on for a few hours, thinking one of the latest updates was doing its thing without any visible status, but nothing.

Any suggestions?

Unless someone else has a better idea, I'm thinking your best bet is to reset the device.
