Brand New Surface Pro - Office Crashes on startup consistently

So... brand new, obviously.

I activated the trial of 2013. And... it crashes every time I start up Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint, or Publisher if I don't click on a file to open it.

If I just click the icon, it crashes... if I open a file from explorer or mail... no problem.

Anyone else? Who do I even call?

Uninstall office and re-install it. Maybe something hitched on the first install?

mine works fine. office 2013. so I would uninstall and redo it like mentioned above. good luck

Try a full system recovery. Mine was acting a little weird at first (strange behavior in Photoshop), but after a full system recovery, it worked great.
Back up your data (if you even have any on there yet)
Start > Swipe from the right edge to get to Settings
Change PC Settings>General>Remove everything and reinstall Windows

This will wipe it out and restore it to a factory-default state. If it still crashes, it's probably a hardware issue and you should exchange it for a new one.

Takes about 30 or 40 minutes, end-to-end.
