Bring back the original photos hub!

Ironic that they added backgrounds on the start screen tiles but removed the one app that allowed personalized backgrounds.

I definitely miss the background photo, but I REALLY REALLY miss the way you could pinch/zoom out and then flick the photo roll left/right like a carousel. That was really smooth and slick. This just doesn't feel much like a Windows Phone Hub.

Nobody does the 'one step forward - two steps back' shuffle quite like Microsoft. Their software history is littered with examples.
Oh well, off to vote for the return of that feature.

Thx for creating this topic and for your feature suggestion I will give it every day with 3 votes

I liked having all my albums on one screen, going into facebook or one drive separately is worse

If I go into an album or list of photos I can still pinch to zoom and swipe left or right to get to the next one.

Disagreed. This app is more functional with the default "all" setting. Whether I take a screenshot, save a picture, or take a picture with the camera, I am one button push away from accessing the photo(s). Not to mention it is more simplistic. You should not have to go through two or three sub-menus to access a picture you just took/saved in a simplicity-themed UI.

I still do miss the background picture of the old version a lot though, trust me. If only there were a way to combine both versions' strong-suits..

The background will back in an update, because there is an option for background in settings.

It is better in my opinion. It is just missing the preview BG.

It does the job. No more no less. Actually I loved it. ;)
