So I was reading the MyMobile section near the end of the newspaper today, being surprised that I saw the Lumia 730/735 available from ?129.99 from O2.co.uk.

Reading the description, it gives you some of the features and they even said that this is one of the best phones you can get!

Will upload a picture of the article soon! :)

maybe 730/735 will act as the trojan horse to eat more marketshare after all
it gives a solid competition to the similiarly priced and specced-Moto G

Yeah! I converted some people to Lumia since I had a Huawei W1. Then I purchased a Lumia 630, but now I am looking into getting a 730/735!

The L735 was the phone that tipped the balance for me. I'd been umm-ing and argh-ing for a while, just waiting for the 'perfect' Windows phone to hit that price point.

The L735 hit that spot perfectly - it looks good, it feels good, it IS good. Forget the 'selfie' label, it's just a d@mn fine phone at the price.

Just buy it. It's everything a phone should be.

Bad times when the sun like a phone, don't they love hacking voicemails. Maybe they know something we don't lol

Given the amount of advertising for Cortana MS have put out using a 735 with the words "Cortana, available on the 735 and other Windows phones" I would be very surprised if they haven't sold a shed load here in the UK.

I was intending to get my wife one, but got a really good deal on the 830 so went for one of those, but both phones are to my mind well placed in the market, with the 735 appealing to younger users.

Compared to my 920 and 1520, the 735 hits the sweet spot for me. Let me count the ways:

1) Removable, wrap-around back. No need for bulk-adding cases as it is easily replaced if back cover gets damaged. The wrap around design is important since it is usually the corners and sides that get dinged. Can't say that much for the 830 even though it also has replaceable back. The best part: The downsides of removable back are not there. No creaks or loose fitting parts.

2) Replaceable battery. At some point, battery will be worn out but not a problem.

3) Relatively cheaper. Even more important than costing less to own the phone, I feel less paranoid letting my kids play with this phone than I do with my $600 1520. It is liberating!

4) Lower spec but still gets the job done and does it well. I get satisfaction knowing the lowly processor in this phone gets the job done. Just like how I philosophically prefer a Lotus Elise over a Dodge Viper.

I do miss the camera button but the trade off is worth it to me.

I have not had any issues with my 735 except the display dimming problem(when set to high brightness, not auto) I am always careful but I dropped it once in my garden & it fell face down on concrete from 4 feet onto the screen & not a crack or single mark
