BT keyboards? Your experiences?

I bought one of those generic $10 or so mini BT keyboards when I bought a Nokiia C7. It did not work on it, nor my Nokia E90 Symbian phone, nor on my Android 2.3?.....etc. Nor, would it connect to my Nokia 810. It DID connect to la nephew's later Android version. For me, most of the time the devices would "see" each other, but at the crunch, would not "like" each other. Fail.

Anyone have similar or contrary experiences? I'd love to have either a "mini kb" to become, in effect, a real KB for my 810. Texting, whatever.

Well, my old phone (a lowly C5-00) has been a testing bed for all kinds of BT Keyboards. If it works there, it can work on anything that supports one.

Also, I'm not sure if WP8 supports BT Keyboards.

As for BT Keyboards, it destroyed the T9 on my C5, or the software keyboard an all the phones I've used.

Holy BT, Robin! That is just SO unbelievable. Well, I tried once again, hoping that maybe HID was silently incorporated into WP with Amber. What's really weird is that when WP first sees the KB, it identifies it as "Bluetooth Keyboard!" It then says to type a particular random number into the KB, and then a screen pops up on the phone to do the same. Grind, grind, grind....."Can't connect."

So, is the the OS or Nokia? I checked out the specs for the HTC8X, no HID. Must be the OS.

And to make us feel really inferior to Android, I found an 8X vs. Samsung Galaxy S III. Here are the BT specs for each:

It is absolutely reasonable these days to incorporate HID into the OS, let alone all those other things Android can do.

It will be oversights like this that will keep WP a distant third place in sales. And people angrily returning them once they find out the oversights and stupidities that only some time owning it will reveal.
