Hi all,

I know this has been covered before but I wanted to see if it is worth still going for a 1520 or wait for Windows 10, I can get my hands on a 1520 for ?399 which is not a bad price considering it still ?549 in some places, I currently have a 920 and it quite old now and am looking at upgrading, what do you all reckon should I wait?

Cheers

Hoya... Check out Woolworths and littlewoods.com as they sell it there 0% APR on a buy now pay a year later. I got mine there a few months ago.....its worth getting.... 6" is perfect for games and net and films.... The size fits in my pockets without poking out.. That's with a case on too. Lets be honest.... Your gonna use your phone mostly for the net, few games and listen to music with a few shots on the camera on a night out right? This will do all you need plus more. But check out the prices on the websites mate as the price keels dropping

If the L1520 version (RM-937 or RM-938) is compatible with your carrier - I'd say go for it ...

Still a very good device (probably the BEST Windows phone), with NO official news about an upgrade on the horizon.

Wait for what. You could miss out on a great phone by waiting. The 1520 is one of today's phones that will not only get WP 10 but it will be able to utilize many of the WP10 capabilities. Go for it.

I've jumped from 920 to 1520 last Saturday. This will be an upgrade you will like. The only thing is to get used to the size.
Regarding Win10, you will get it on this device anyway.

I suggest to go and try holding it for a while, cause it is a huge difference in the size.

The size really blew me away when I got it out the box.....i gave my daughter my old 520 and now when I pick her phone up it seems like a Fischer price toy. You will never be able to go back to a smaller screen 😊

I couldn't agree more. My next upgrade will be a 1530 for sure.

I would have one now but it isn't on Verizon and AT&T doesn't cover my area. I agree, get one now if it is compatible with your carrier. It will surely get the Windows 10 software.

I just upgraded from my l920 to the 1520 and eagerly awaiting for it via UPS. I would say there is no point in waiting, the 1520 is going to get the latest Windows phone upgrade and the new denim update. The denim update will basically make it a brand new phone for me, especially with 4K recording going into it. And with no new anticipated or rumored upgrades for the 920 or 1520, I just went for it. I will miss Qi charging though, but I'll deal with that.

I just had my hands on a green att 1520 today! Played with it for 45 mins in the store! Im sold. Just as big as my M8(android) with a case. I would agree that this would be future proof for a while. Has all apps i need minus a few games that i wont miss. Been readin and researching alot of phones on all platforms in the past 6mths and i keep coming back to the 1520. I would say go for it.

Any new Windows 10 phone with equal or better specs will cost more than a 1520, but there will certainly be Windows 10 phones much cheaper than $500.

Definitely true. Such a shame 830 or 930 costs more than 1520 in my country though. 1520 is the best phone to get!
