I am looking to purchase a ATT 1520 that's been unlocked and used on T-Mobile for a while from somebody on Craigslist tomorrow. The pics they sent me show it getting LTE on T-Mobile in San Antonio. Is that possible? I thought the best you would get would be H+? I currently use ATT and plan on just swapping my sim to make sure the phone works. What else should I look for to make sure I am getting a good phone?

Thanks!

Download an app from the store that actually test the phone such as finding out if there is any dead pixels, checks the proximity sensors and colours and also the compass. I forgot the name of the app that does this but there is a few out there that test the phone for you

LTE is very possible on an AT&T 1520 running on T-Mobile.
The AT&T 1520 actually supports all of T-Mobiles current LTE and HSPA bands and works great on T-Mobile.

Check to make sure compass, GPS, and cell reception all work in a reasonable time.
My 1520 compass doesn't work and it takes about 5 minutes for the GPS to get to 1/4 mile accuracy. I bought a new phone so I will be sending mine in, but a second hand phone might already be out of warranty.

I have a Nokia 1520 att branded unlocked on tmobile and get lte down here in the Rio Grande valley . It works great on the service for me

I'm wondering which one to get now. A RM-937 for 350 (sucks that I'm on ATT) or this RM-940 for 250.

So why are people getting the 1520.3 over the att model? What's the difference? I thought I read that the att model doesn't get LTE as well which was why I thought everyone was getting the 1520.3 instead. Is the att model already unlocked for use on T-Mobile?

I would like to get the 937 but since I'm on att I'm pretty sure I will miss my LTE quite a bit.

Because it comes with 2 things standard that AT&T decided to strip out: 32GB internal memory and qi wireless charging.

Is the att version already unlocked? I figure that one should be cheaper than the unlocked version

No, but I'm trying to see if it can be. . I'm actually reading the next thread down lol. .

Went with the RM-940 for $250 plus a screen protector and case. Thanks everyone for the help!
