Hi all,

I'm having this weird link in my app list. It links to downloads in the store.
How can I get rid of it?

I'm not downloading or updating apps and I neither have any updates available. I can't just delete it, I only have the option to pin it.

1st reboot,
2.Check for updates and install if there are any available
3.install a new keyboard language, any will do, this will reconfigure the phone same way a system update does, after the reboot you can delete the keyboard

Thank you for your replies!

I installed another keyboard like you said, but that didn't work.
I also updated to black and its still there.

So apparently updates have no impact on the weird shortcut.

What else could I try?

You need to uninstall the app whose icon is corrupt, you said you can pin it from the app list, I.e that is an app, uninstall the first apps on your list then reboot and check.

I'm not having any apps with a corrupt icon, the link is the only one. The first apps on my list are not the problem, I have them for years and haven't had problems with them (neither updated them).
The link behaves like a app in download progress, when you can only pin it and all other options are not available.

Have you tried a reset yet, Nokia support will recommend a soft then hard reset, if that doesn't work they will say bring it in then they will restore/flash it for you,

I'm not gonna reset my phone and I already send my phone twise to nokia in the passed. so I'll live with it.

but thanks for the replies ;)

Was anybody able to find a solution to this? I recently had my phone restored. Updated the phone with the Lumia Black update and after I started seeing a similar link to downloads in app list on my Lumia 1020. Anybody knows how to fix this or should I just live with it? :)

Hi, I haven't found a solution to this jet. Maybe it disapers with the next update or so. For now I just left it as it is as I cant find a solution to this. and I don't find it that annoying anymore.

I have the same issue, but in my Settings, between "audio" and "storage check", it shows two bogus entries like this. :(

Tried the downloading a keyboard trick. Didn't work, but it made me feel better to know I'm not the only one. Will keep trying!
