Will not 1 + 1 but using the build-in calculator I get two different answer for the same input.
Try this on you WP8.1

14 x 3600 + 7 x 60 + 5 = 3024425 (wrong) :unhappy:

Now try in landscape mode.

14 x 3600 + 7 x 60 + 5 = 508225 (correct)

Whats going on.

I got the same answers :P on both portrait and landscape 3,024,425 but what I did do was this on landscape
14x3600+7= 50407x60+5=3,024,425

You are forgetting something. The landscape mode activates the scientific calculator shock had many complex functions. With scientific calculator on even my CASIO FX82MS shows the wrong answer. Hope it helps

In scientific mode it is respecting the order of operations. In standard mode, it's just done left to right. You can tell because in standard mode it totals at every step, while in scientific it doesn't.

As pepperdotNet said.

Portrait is standard calculator
14 * 3600 + 7 * 60 + 5 which does it like this:
14 * 3600
50400 + 7
50407 * 60
3024420 + 5
3024425

Scientific calculator (landscape) uses order of operations
14 * 3600 + 7 * 60 + 5 = which is done like this:
(14 * 3600) + (7 * 60) +5
50400 + 420 + 5
50820 + 5
50825

You can get to the point easier if you use an easier calculation:

2+1?0
Is 2 in landscape, because multiplies before the addition and
Is 0 in portrait, because at the end it multiplies with 0.

As said before. But maybe easier to see.
