Call forwarding, is a feature on telephone networks which let an incoming call to a called party to be redirected to a third party. The different forms of call forwarding are described in TIA: Unconditional (CFU) , Busy (CFB) , Default (CFD), and No Answer (CFNA) .

However, there is not friendly enough to setup the Call forwarding features on Windows Phone:

  • When the user turn call forwarding on, CFU is activated by default, the forward all calls box is selected, the other boxes are unavailable (It's gray). At this time, the user can not activate other call forwarding.
  • The user deactivate CFU, all check boxes are available and thus select the feature box to activate CFB, CFNA or CFD. Next, the user activates the CFU, then deactivate CFU, at this time, CFB, CFNA or CFD box has also been accidentally erased (in fact, CFB, CFD or CFNA is still actived). It is easy to mislead user.
  • Call forwarding Directory Number (the Forward calls to box) can only specify one contact or a new number. If the user needs to specify forward-to number for each forms of call forwarding, that's very difficult.
Although, a subscriber can use the service codes to control Call forwarding, but it is difficult to understand for ordinary consumers.

All I have on my 920 is turn call forwarding on or off and the number to forward to. Nothing else.
