Camera takes two photos about half sec apart, how can I stop this?

Camera takes two photos about half sec apart

Even without using living images every time I take a photo (also irrespective of image quality setting) I get the image I pressed and then it takes another photo all by itself, everytime! Usually of the floor!

Help! this is very annoying!
