Can I add a VISA gift card to my windows phone wallet for apps?

When I try to add it as a debit or credit card, it asks for a name and billing address and everything, and it fails to authenticate.

Is there any way I can do this?

Probably not. Think about it, is not a permanent card. It's meant to be used for the amount stored on it and then discarded.

You can probably do a prepaid card that you can reload and if the gift can be relaoded you might be able to do it as well.

Unfortunately, it's not a reloadable card. I wonder... Can I put it on a PayPal account?

no, I didn't register it yet.

You have to do that first before it will be recognized as a cc online.

Yes you can use a visa gift card, it doesn't have to be reloadable, I do it all the time, but as stated above you do have to do the quick registration for the card, takes about 2 min to complete the registration, that's where your name and address is registered to the card, the web site to register it should be on the back of the card and the packaging it came in
