Windows Central Question

Hi,

i need a new mail address that i will use for work and for personal mail.

I have a name like this: William Henry Gates (this is a sample name)

As can you see i have a first name, second name, surname.

What do you think about this username that i find free on Outlook.com ?

william.h.gates@outlook.com

It's good ?

I suppose that's fine, a bit long though.

I went simple and went the equivalent of w.gates@outl...
I'd prefer wgates@ or maybe whgates but its a matter of what other people have taken already.

I agree with xandros9.

You want people to grasp what it is when said out loud. If it's too long or involved it becomes a chore to write or say out loud.

My epic fail: mushinzencat@ (it's no longer valid - or if it is, it is no longer mine.)

Mushin means empty mind in Japanese and it is a zen practice. But I had to explain it each and every time how I was "an empty headed cat."

I'm not sure using your name is effective either. Too many have done this before and it's a PITA to find the combination that will get accepted by the service. william.h.gates might be taken so then you try w.h.gates or bill.gates... It's hard to get the name exactly how you'd like it in any event.

Find something associated with yourself and play off of that.

broccolihater1946 (1946 being G W Bush's birth year) is a pretty memorable tag.
