Can my New phone get insider?

Hello All,

My (now dead) Lumia 735 (verizon) decided to jump into a pool. Rice trick along with several others did not work. RIP. I plan on getting a new 735 or Icon. Will I be able to update to the latest build that was released for that particular device? Please let me know!

I would do the ICON if you are wanting to run Windows 10 mobile along with Hey Cortana. I currently have mine running the most current version. Have been messing around with a Lumia 928, HTC one M8 and the Samsung ATIV SE (I am on Verizon) and I would day that the ICON is the easiest one to update...

Are either of those devices even supported on the Insider program? The Insider program is actually dead because all you get now on W10M are security fixes. Therefore, unless you trick the phone to think it's a different model so that you can get the very latest build of W10M, you may either get stuck on an earlier build of W10M as-is or not even allowed to upgrade from WP8.1.
