Can not send Pictures in Messenger

Okay I need an app to talk to my GF. She has a Galaxy s3.
Whatsapp is useless on wp8. In the inbuilt messenger that we have in messages I cannot seem to send her any pics. She is signed into outlook account in IM+ on android.

When you hit the switch button on her thread in messaging, does it show her offline in messenger?

I think it is the android client problem...I can receive pictures from my fd using WLM.
You have lots of choice, WeChat, LINE, Kik, ebuddy XMS

I don't think so. The only pictures that come in and go out are via MMS. WLM or Fb chat - we don't get the choice of sending pics or receiving them. I don't on my Lumia 920.
