Can windows preview updating can permanently damage my phone?

My Lumia 535 has stopped working and don't turn on after I had installed windows 10 preview and its so much irritating to me. Please help

First a maybe rude answer. Yes it can and if you read the warnings in the Insider app, before you installed the update, you would have known.

But probably your phone's battery went flat during the update. Connect your phone for several hours to a charger. This may get it going.
