Hi, I"m using Surface Book Model i7 / 512 Gb. ..

I love this device, some crash or just issues are fine. Those were not big issues and now they are gone.

THE BIG problem is ..my games can't be played anymore .Everytime SB show me the Blue screens..
This makes me crazy.

Well i think after few system or build updating, my Surface Book can't launch games. Like Diablo 3...
Because before i update latest version, games were worked well. (I played Diablo3 on Surface Book ...)

I don't play a lot game on SB but sometimes i just want to play on SB ! But..oh no! BLUE SCREEN ! WHY?

Here , what i tired for solving this issue.

First, i tried to update Nvidia drivers manually(latest version) . But it's same result.
Second, i tried to run Gefore experience but this program doesn't work anymore. Blue screen or freezing..
Third, i tried to uninstall and reinstall NVIDIA GeforeGPU in Device Manager but it doesn't work.

Finally, i did reset my Surface Book and tried to run these games but it's same result..Blue Screens.. (the message are different . Sometime
DPC Watchdog Violations , or video scheduler internal error ...)
I don't install any Nvidia programs and Drivers..It's a clean status.
Also i did latest update again...

Everything is okay except launching games !!

My Nvidia Driver Date is 9/15/2015 ...

How can i fix this issues ..?

Could you play Diablo 3 or Geforce Experience for checking this issues ?

PS. Can you guys launch Geforce Experience ? It displays Blue Screen same as Diablo 3 ...
No respond and then showing Blue Screen boot its own.

PS.:: I can play Diablo 3 HD 520 when i disable Gefore GPU..

PS ::: I found "opencl.dll corrupt " in cbs.log by sfc /scannow of CMD... I should find what's next..

I am able to play Diablo 3, Torchlight 2, Wow and Everquest (don't hate!) fine with no blue-screens or anything like that.
In D3 I play in 1600x1200 full-screen and get ~60fps (drops a bit when there is lots of on-screen activity but stays above 30fps)
I have the i7/16/512/dGPU version.

My NVidia drivers are dated 9/25/2015 version 5415

I play Diablo 3 all the time on my i5/8/256/dGPU Surface Book. I use 1920x???? resolution (closest one to 3:2 aspect ratio) and I lowered some effects settings to make things smoother. I've had a single BSOD while playing (months ago), but I've seen my husband's custom-built rig do the same thing in D3 once as well. Not sure what causes it, but the screen will just freeze, audio will get stuck in a stuttering state & eventually the system will BSOD and reboot if you don't force it to reboot on its own. I don't know how many hours I played this past weekend, but it was 3-4 hours on Friday (start of season 5), several hours on Saturday evening, a few hours on Sunday, and probably another 4 hours on Monday, all without incident (OK, my keyboard cut out for a minute at one point on Sunday, luckily I was in town doing some gear-swapping when that happened).

My nvidia driver version is dated 9/15, version 10.18.13.5415.

Are you on an insider build of Windows 10? It sounds like you might need to try a complete reset of your system and start over. If that fails, you probably need to get your Surface Book replaced. At least, that's my thought on it.

You may also want to try running the system file checker to make sure you don't have corruption/system file issues and possibly a complete scan of the SSD for errors. I had one day (while doing normal work, not gaming) where my SB blue screened 3 or 4 times within a couple of hours, which was scary and weird. I ran every windows diagnostic I could come up with, including SFC/scannow, a scan of the drive for errors and a memory test, all of which pretty much came back clean. After that & several reboots later, no more BSODs of that type. I also did a two-button shutdown/reset (another thing you can try). I still get BSODs (most of which I never see because its related to the video drivers causing the screen to just stay or go black and won't come back without a restart), but these are relatively infrequent, and I truly believe they are caused by the Intel drivers for skylake & the intel display driver in general.

Thanks kaadian, zerospace-net . I install again with windows 10 iso file and surface book firmware files. ...But it's same result.

I don't use insider build of windows 10 .
I can run Diablo 3 if i disable Nvidia Gefore GPU. It's running by HD 520 ....I think i have to launch Geforce Experience .. my SB display Blue Screen and reboot its own. Can you launch Gefore Experience ?

It sounds like you may need to get your Surface Book replaced. I have had no issues running anything on the Nvidia GPU in my Surface Book -- games, Photoshop, etc. The nvidia control panel software works fine for me, too. I have not run GeForce Experience.

Hi zerospace-net. Maybe i have to consider about replacing ..but i can't do that right now.My SB is good except this issue now...or i have to wait next update or find other solution.. I used recovery image and re-installed Windows 10 again. But it's same result. :( .. I shoud use HD520 for running this game right now. So could you run Geforce Experience ?

I do not have GeForce Experience installed nor do I want it, so I can't test it out for you. I'm pretty minimal about my software installs, and the last thing I want is to aggravate an already unstable nvidia driver situation (mine causes the occasional BSOD, but just not when playing games -- usually on wake from sleep or hibernate).
