Greetings all,

Much like other WIND subscribers, we were wondering if there is a variant of the One M8 for Windows which would work on T-Mobile. Since their Android version of the phone certainly works (likely the same version that WIND itself carries), we can verify on the support page for the Windows version that this device will indeed work on WIND mobile. The required band is UMTS-4 (1700/2100 MHz), which we see underlined below.

International
  • Quad Band GSM; LTE: 4, 17; UMTS: Band I (2100), Band II (1900), Band IV (1700/2100), Band V (850)

More info here: HTC One M8 Windows Phone | Powered by Windows 8.1 | T-Mobile

Time for me to save up!

I used my Ativ S T899M (unlocked from a Canadian seller on ebay) on TMobile for about 1 week when I first purchase it. Data and mms worked perfectly. Don't remember if I got LTE though. Would think this works in reverse since the T-Mobile HTC One will have the same bands. Switched to AT&T shortly after. Unfortunately don't remember what I put in for the apns. Might be different since my Ativ was unlocked.

LTE is a non-factor for WIND users since we only have an HSPA+ network at the moment, unfortunately. Some SIMs might be able to automatically configure APN settings just by popping it into an unlocked phone, but in a lot of cases you likely will have to make the adjustments yourself.
