Cannot attach a video to a text message. Lumia 640

Hello all, I have a Lumia 640 on Consumer Cellular (running on the ATT system). Every time I attempt to attach a video to a text message I get the message "the file is too big to send in this message". Any suggestions to correct this? Thanks

Can you compress the video or add to a zip file?
Have you tried alternative messaging apps like WhatsApp?
