Can't hear caller on my Lumia 800

i love my Lumia i like windows but when I receive or make a call on my Lumia 800 I can't hear the caller but the caller can hear me perfectly fine is there something wrong with my phone should i bother about going and get it fixed or will it be better getting rid of the phone and buying a new one ? It only started happening recently and no one really knows what's wrong with it. It's very annoying and i would be disappointed if i had to replace the phone.

Have you tried a soft reset or a hard reset already?

If your phone isn't responding
Do the following:
• Press and hold the volume down key and power key at the same time for about 10 seconds. The
