can't login my microsoft account

Recently i reset my phone which is lumia 540 using the reset option given in the phone and now i am unable to sign in in my microsoft account it shows " can't connect right now. Wait a few minutes and try again " my date and time are correct , i have tried resetting my phone again but to no use. Don't know what to do ....

I recently reset my 640XL and I was able to log in to my MS account as part of the restoration. Make sure you are entering the correct credentials and try using both wifi and mobile data.
