cant switch accounts on gmail in ie metro

Hi I'm wondering if this is isolated or not. If I'm in metro ie on the Gmail homepage and try to press the switch account button on the top right(blue face) it does nothing. I get the little square showing I hit the button. But it does not switch to the username switch page. Becoming pretty annoying.

I should add this is only an issue with touch mode. If I use a mouse it works fine.
