For some odd reason, my Lumia 920 and my Lumia 900 don't want to pair using the Nokia Transfer Data app. The phones recognize each other, but just don't connect. The Lumia 900 says "not supported" when I try to pair with my 920. Any tips or alternatives for transferring contacts?

Thanks

All the L900 contacts should already be in the cloud (Microsoft account or another account), so you will get them once you add that account to 920 - no need to manually transfer contacts.

I am having the same problem. It seems the Bluetooth of Lumia 900 & 920 just don't connect.
I also have a Windows live account, but this does not help.

Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

djikstra is right, the contacts on your Lumia 900 should already be synced somewhere. Look at one of them to determine the sync source and make sure you have that account added to your Lumia 920.

But to answer the question, the "Nokia Transfer Data app" will NOT work. Its not meant to work between windows phones, its meant to pull contacts from older phones.

I recently purchased Lumia 920 so my first job is to copy contacts from 900 to 920. Since I forgot which ID I used for 900 so is there a way you can find out which login ID you've signed in 900?

I had the exact same problem.
The solution was to go to the store, and get/update the app again. After that I could do the pairing and transfer…
