I'm getting a Lumia 1520 and I'd like to see what the community uses for cases. The 2 that stand out to me is the Incipio Feather in cyan, and CP-623 flip case in yellow (freaking impossible to find!!!). I'd be open to just about anything. I'd like to try out a really good flip/wallet case if there are any good ones.

Do you want a kickstand or not?

For non-kickstand cases, I recommend some sort of soft gel case. They do a good job absorbing hits to the corner of the phone.

I use a clear soft gel case; I want to flaunt this big boy and a solid colored case would detract from the beautiful matte yellow I made sure to order.

I love the way this case goes right up to the screen all the way around without interfering with my Tempered Glass screen protector. It hugs the corners real tight following the screen corner so the case is on there tight and has a nice raised lip around the camera module to keep it from contacting surfaces when laying the phone on a table screen side up. Feels good in the hand. Soft with a nice grippy feel.

I bought the Amzer Pudding case from the WC shop. Amzer Pudding TPU Case for Nokia Lumia 520 - Windows Phone Skin Cases - Windows Central Shop

It is inexpensive, and it fits the phone nicely. Provides the basic protection to the little camera hump in the back, and just comes up and around the corners of the glass to protect the edges. It's only in black, I would have gotten the case Rumored recommended, If I had been able to be patient and wait for the yellow 1520.

I just want a basic case, I don't like the flip cases or kickstands.

Started out with your first choice the Incipio and while's it's a basic slim line cover there's not any protection for the camera lens. If you really like this style I highly recommend Nillkin's case as it's adds a nice texture for grip as well as protection for the camera lens. From there I gave the Ace Above case a try in which I really liked the fitment and was able to show off that flagship yellow of the 1520. Ended up giving that case to the wife who's much harder on phones and now the case is somewhat discolored and show's off all the debri that may get inside.

Currently rockin the Amzer double layer hybrid case and this case is far superior if protection is a main concern. I really like the design and while it's somewhat a little bulky you really can't go wrong with the price and what your getting.

Good luck and enjoy!

I'm now also looking more at the Incipio NGP case. It looks like it covers the camera bump well, and plus it's in teal my favorite color (ok, technically Incipio lists it a turquoise, but it'll do). I'm just not a huge fan of TPU cases as I find them kind of tacky, especially translucent ones like this as they get dingy. Anyone have the NGP?

mine is in a Belkin folio. Kind of like a checkbook case.
does the job. can also be used as a kickstand-like
cover and has a slot for a credit card or ID

Tres Chic, Cartman... How is your call response time with that rig? Ever miss calls?

What about drops when not in the bag?

Still waiting for both the case AND my 1520 to arrive :unhappy:
Having said that I have used similar cases with all my phones (various iPhones, Focus, some other Samsung WP, 900, 920, 1020) with no issues.

I personally hate having anything on my phones. Don't use any protection other than a sleeve. I do upgrade phones fairly frequently with the 1020 being the longest one I have had...due to there not being a good replacement. Getting the 1520 since I wanted something different and MS is not offering anything better :(

Almost went with an iPhone 6 plus but hopefully the 1520 will work until they come out with something better. For the iPhones I use Vaja...best quality, custom made and hand built in Argentina but expensive. Would use Vaja over anything else if they built them for WPs.
