Change ringtones for applications ?

Can you change the alerts for applications, I am currently running the latest update for developers and have the htc one m8 for windows. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to SETTINGS --- ringtones+sounds. Scroll to bottom, tap 'manage app sounds'.

I did that but, only email and typical os apps are there, nothing for 3rd party apps???
